Fonio (Acha)

Grown predominantly in West Africa, fonio is Africa's most ancient, heirloom, heritage, grain. It is gluten-free. It is incredibly nutritious and is one of the best grains in Africa. It contains essential amino acids, trace minerals, iron, vitamins, carbohydrates, etc. This is as good as a grain can come. The flavor is rich, earthy, and nutty. Texture is like couscous and quinoa. It is an excellent food for children and adults alike, as it supplies most of the essential vitamins and minerals needed for growth, development, and general well-being.
