Length is about 4 1/2 inches. This is the pestle that goes with the apotoyewa set  (Ghanaian clay mortar and pestle set). This can be purchased as a replacement for the pestle, if you still have the mortar. Or it can be purchased as a pestle for whatever use you have in mind for it.
